Lion's mane mushroom, also known as Hericium erinaceus, is named for its resemblance to the head of a monkey because of its resemblance to the head of a monkey. The spores are transparent, colorless, smooth, spherical or nearly spherical.

Lion’s mane mushrooms can be sauteed, broiled, grilled, or added to any recipe that requires mushrooms. These mushrooms are especially tasty when served over fish or combined with fresh vegetables.
