We have carefully researched Rene Caisses original essiac four herb formula and offer it here. The tea needs to be prepared as a decoction and each packet comes with instructions on how to do that. We also make it as a tincture https://www.northernherbs.co.uk/blended-herbal-tinctures-syrups/rene-caisse-essiac-tincture
Rene caisse’s original 4 herb essiac formula made with burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm & turkey rhubarb.
- Instruction For Preparing Essiac Tea:
- 1. Measure out 30g of the herb mixture for 1 Litre of water.
- 2. Combine the herbs and water in a stainless steel or cast iron pot, simmer for 10 minutes.
- 3. Turn off the heat, cover and leave over night.
- 4. The following morning, heat to steaming, not quite boiling.
- 5. Turn off heat and let settle for a few minutes then strain through a fine strainer into a hot sterilised jar. Let cool.
- 6. Store in Cool and dark, once opened refrigerate.
- 7. Take 15 to 30ml diluted in hot water at bedtime on an empty stomach, drink plenty of water while using.
This makes a concentrated amount that you can prepare and keep in the fridge. Alternatively you can use 2.5 litres of water, boil it up the same way and drink it as a tea.
